In each of case studies below the users want to buy completely new computer systems. You
have been given the task of specifying software and hardware that will meet their needs.
In the case you should answer these questions:
1. What type of application software would best meet the user's needs?
2. Should the user choose custom written, proprietary or open source software?
3. Can you give the names of specific application software packages and operating systems
that they should install?
4. What hardware devices does the user need?
5. Are there specific makes of hardware that you could recommend?
