3. Kumpulkan bahan basah (hijau) yang kaya dengan
nitrogen seperti rumput yang dipotong, sisa makanan,
hampas teh atau kopi dan tinja ayam.
4. Sediakan bahan tambahan seperti kulit telur, tanah bakar
dan sebagainya.
5. Lapiskan dan selang-selikan bahan kering dan basah di
dalam bekas atau di atas tanah.
6. Bagi memastikan lapisan tersebut lembap, siramkan
dengan air pada setiap lapisan.
7. Bolak-balikkan kompos selang beberapa hari sekali.
