Your task this week is to write a very simple spam classifier in python. it will classify messages as either spam (unwanted) or ham (wanted). the program will have a set of spam_words, words that are known to appear in spam messages. that set is included in the template file spam.pypreview the document. you will also define a spam threshold which reflects the allowed percentage of spam words in the message. you'll compute a 'spam indicator', which is the ratio of spam words to the total number of unique words in the message. if the spam indicator exceeds the spam threshold, the message is classified as spam. otherwise it is classified as ham. we'll assume that the spam threshold is a constant and has a value of 0.10. your program will prompt the user for a message and then will print the corresponding spam indicator with two decimal digits and the corresponding classification (spam or ham). the program will be case insensitive. the spam words are detected whether they are in lower case or upper case or mixed case. each word, spam or not, is counted once (even if it appears multiple times in the message.) the program will remove punctuation from the message before identifying the words and computing the spam indicator. for example '! ' must be identified as the spam word 'now'.

Ihave a music player on my phone. i can buy songs, add them to playlists and play them. obviously it would be redundant to store each song in each playlist; each playlist is just a list of pointers to the songs. for this lab you will simulate this behavior. your program will need to have options to: add songs to the system library (you will store the text of the first line of the song, rather than the audio) add playlists add songs to a playlist list playlists play a playlist list all of the songs in the library with a count of how many times each song has been played remove a song from a playlist remove a playlist remove a song from the library (and thus from all playlists that contain it) note that we will not be checking many error cases. in real programming this would be bad, you should usually try to recognize and respond to as many types of errors as you can. in the context of class we are trying to acquaint you with as many concepts as possible, so for the sake of educational efficiency we will not be checking most errors in this lab, you may assume that your user provides correct input. you may add all appropriate error testing if you wish, but we will not be testing for it.

Write a modular program (no classes yet, just from what you learned last year), that allows two players to play a game of tic-tac-toe. use a two-dimensional char array with 3 rows and 3 columns as the game board. each element of the array should be initialized with an asterisk (*). the program should display the initial board configuration and then start a loop that does the following: allow player 1 to select a location on the board for an x by entering a row and column number. then redisplay the board with an x replacing the * in the chosen location. if there is no winner yet and the board is not yet full, allow player 2 to select a location on the board for an o by entering a row and column number. then redisplay the board with an o replacing the * in the chosen location. the loop should continue until a player has won or a tie has occurred, then display a message indicating who won, or reporting that a tie occurred. player 1 wins when there are three xs in a row, a column, or a diagonal on the game board. player 2 wins when there are three ox in a row, a column, or a diagonal on the game board. a tie occurs when all of the locations on the board are full, but there is no winner. input validation: only allow legal moves to be entered. the row must be 1, 2, or 3. the column must be 1, 2 3. the (row, column) position entered must currently be empty (i.e., still have an asterisk in it).
