An arc-welding operation is used to weld aluminum substrates with a heat transfer factor 0.80. the aluminumm melting temperature is im -930°k and melting factor - 0.40. the aluminum substrates are welded using a fillet weld with a cross-sectional area 25.0 mm2 a)-if the welding power used is 3200 w, determine the travel speed at which the welding operation can be accomplished. b)-if the metal to be welded is high carbon steel with melting factor 0.60 and melting temperature tm 1650°k. determine the welding power required to weld the high carbon steel substrates at the same travel speed obtained in (a). c)-from the power result in part (b), if the welding voltage 20 volts, determine the value for the current in the operation.
