Assume that we know the bottleneck link along the path from the server to the client is the first link with rate bits/sec. suppose we send a pair of packets back to back from the server to the client, and there is no other traffic on this path. assume each packet of size l bits, and both links have the same propagation delay . a. what is the packet inter-arrival time at the destination? that is, how much time elapses from when the last bit of the first packet arrives until the last bit of the second packet arrives?

Amixture of slurry and mud is to be pumped through a horizontal pipe of diameter 500 mm. the fluid behaves as a bingham plastic with a yield stress of 30 pa and viscosity 0.04 pa.s. describe the effects of the shear stress through a transverse section of the pipe by plotting the variation in shear stress and velocity profile: (i) just before the slurry starts to move (ii) as the slurry flows when the pressure gradient is double that in part (i)
