The waveform generator on the lab bench assumes a low load impedance (resistance) for its output (50 ohms). when a high impedance (resistance) load, such as ours, is attached, the waveform generator will incorrectly report the amplitude of its output as one-half of what it really is. from the hp (agilent) 33120a manual, describe below how to change the settings of the waveform generator to report output amplitude correctly into high impedance loads. (hint: see page number 40 of 33120a manual). note that when the waveform generator is turned off and back on, the output impedance setting is restored to the low load impedance and must be changed again. remember this for this lab and future labs!
