The authors talk about increasing supply chain costs occurring over time. even though costs have increased for chains (environmental regulations, standard of living, etc.) consumers seek competitive pricing. for firms to stay in business, they need to pass on all costs to consumers, including their increased margins, resources, etc. how is this done from a practical standpoint?
