The goal of this project is to develop simulation program that operates a dc motor using pulse width modulation (pwm) to achieve a desired angular velocity, and utilizing a pid controller to maintain the desired velocity regardless of an abrupt change in loading (torque).
your design must meet the following requirements:
use the data-sheet for portescap 08g61-205c dc motor. it is posted at titanium.
the applied voltage should not exceed 9 volts.
the initial external load carried by the motor is 0.5 mn. m, in addition to its internal friction torque
set up the system so that it achieves 1000 rpm.
set up the system so that at the 20-second point its external load suddenly changes to 1.0 mn. m.
apply a control strategy to maintain the speed at 1000 rpm throughout the time, even after the abrupt
change in the load (torque) has occurred.
computer simulations using simulink/simscape are required to confirm the above requirement
