A pitot tube is mounted in the test section of a low-speed open-circuit subsonic wind tunnel. Air is flowing through the test section at 45 m/s. The air pressure in the test section is approximately that at the University of Denver 83,020 Pa and the Temperature is 298 K (room temperature).
a) Calculate the inlet velocity into the wind tunnel assuming that the contraction ratio of the wind tunnel is 10 to 1.b) Calculate the pressure measured by the pitot tube in the test section (i. e. the stagnation pressure).c) If static ports were used in each section of the wind tunnel (between the converging inlet section and test section), what would be the measured differential pressure?
