A converging duct passes air steadily from standard atmospheric conditions (p0 = 101 kPa, T0 = 15⁰C, V0 = 0 m/s) to a space that is maintained at back pressure pb = 80 kPa. Determine whether the flow is choked or not, and calculate the flow velocity Vth and Mach number Mth at the throat (where the flow cross-sectional area is minimum).
