This is a prototype thrust stand used to measure the thrust created by an electric prop motor. The thrust stand has the image below and labels for where the motor and force sensor are placed. The given data is the force measured by a load-cell at the intermediate position on the arm (FMeas). Note that the data are provided in a separate file in the Problem set folder named: 7-P10-Data. xlsx. Use a spreadsheet software (excel or google sheets) to calculate and show plots for both the thrust generated by the motor and the horizontal reaction force at the hinge as a function of time (2 plots). (Hint: in excel/sheets use the equation and fill down features). Distances are in inches, forces are in pounds. US+ Imeas.

Two flowing streams of argon gas are adiabatically mixed to form a single flow/stream. one stream is 1.5 kg/s at 400 kpa and 200 c while the second stream is 2kg/s at 500 kpa and 100 ? . it is stated that the exit state of the mixed single flow of argon gas is 150 c and 300 kpa. assuming there is no work output or input during the mixing process, does this process violate either the first or the second law or both? explain and state all your assumptions.
