You originally designed a system to control two motors with the following conditions and hardware: (1) Motor A (240V, 30A, 3Phase) operation is controlled by a magnetic motor starter (MMS) which contains a NO. Aux Contact (2) Motor A, is to START, and remain running when an operator presses a single N. O. push button (3) TO STOP Motor A. independent operators must simultaneously press two N. C. push buttons (4) Motor B (240V, 20A, 1 Phase) operation is controlled by a MMS which contains a N. O. Auxiliary Contact (5) Motor B can only operate if Motor A is running, and is controlled with a start-stop-station. Unfortunately, you received the opposite (3.N. O. push buttons, and 2.N. C. push buttons). After scrounging around you have the following hardware: a.2-120V MMS with N. Q. Aux Contacts b.1-NO Push Buttons c.2-120V Relays with NO and N. CCortacts d.2-N. Tom is having a problem with his washing machine. he notices that the machine vibrates violently at a frequency of 1500 rpm due to an unknown rotating unbalance. the machine is mounted on 4 springs each having a stiffness of 10 kn/m. tom wishes to add an undamped vibration absorber attached by a spring under the machine the machine working frequency ranges between 800 rpm to 2000 rpm and its total mass while loaded is assumed to be 80 kg a) what should be the mass of the absorber added to the machine so that the natural frequency falls outside the working range? b) after a first trial of an absorber using a mass of 35 kg, the amplitude of the oscillation was found to be 10 cm. what is the value of the rotating unbalance? c) using me-3.5 kg.m, find the optimal absorber (by minimizing its mass). what would be the amplitude of the oscillation of the absorber?
