Tensile test was conducted on a structural steel specimen with a stem diameter 0.26 in. At failure the measured diameter was 0.145 in. The gage length of the sample at the beginning of the test was 1.800 in. and at failure was 2.280 in. The load/deformation data is given below. Create a stress-strain plot of the data. Include a chart title and axis titles with appropriate units. Required:
a. Calculate the stress-strain data in tabular form
b. Plot the stress-strain diagram
c. Determine the yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, and rupture(breaking) strength
d. Calculate the modulus of elasticity, % elongation, and % reduction in area
e. Compare the values for yield strength and modulus of elasticity with theoretical values
f. Calculate the true stress and true strain at failure
g. Identify the material as brittle or ductile
