HAL computer has a printed circuit board line with 2 stations. The first station (resist apply) applies a photoresist material to the circuit boards. The second station (expose) exposes the boards to UV radiation to produce a circuit pattern that is later etched onto the boards. Analysis of the line shows that resist apply has an average process time of 8 minutes with a coefficient of variation of 1.0, and expose has an average process time of 14 minutes with a coefficient of variation of 2.0. Also, and not included in the process times, resist apply has an MTTF of 15 hours and an MTTR of 20 hours both based on an exponential distribution, while expose has an MTTF of 1 hour and MTTR of 14 minutes. Jobs arrive at the resist with an arrival rate of 1 job per hour with an arrival coefficient of variation of 2. Required:
a. Compute the effective process time at Station 1 (resist apply).
b. Compute the effective process time at Station 2 (expose).
c. Compute the effective SCV at Station 1 (resist apply).
d. Compute the effective SCV at Station 2 (expose).
e. Compute the average waiting time at Station 1.
f. Compute the average waiting time at Station 2.
g. Compute the average WIP levels in the queue at Station 1.
h. Compute the average WIP levels in the queue at Station 2.

Asteam is contained in a rigid tank with a volume of 1 m3. initially, the pressure and temperature are 7 bar and 500 oc, respectively. the temperature drops due to cooling process. determine: (1) the temperature at which condensation begins in °c, (2) the fraction of the total mass that has condensed when the pressure decreased to 0.5 bar. (3) the volume in m3 occupied by saturated liquid at the final state?
