Create two tapes with opposite charge The previous exercises have shown you how to create a charged tape and how to neutralize it. You should have seen that two A-tapes repel each other, indicating that they are of like charge. Here you will create B-tape that has a charge opposite that of A-tape. You will come up with the procedure yourself. Keep in mind the following: Peeling A-tape off of the base layer creates charged A-tape of consistent sign You can neutralize tape by rubbing it with your fingers Charge is conserved. What is gained by one object is lost by the other. Oppositely charged objects will attract. The tape has a sticky side! Don't confuse electrical attraction with adhesion of the tape! 1. Describe your method for producing B-tape.
2. Make a sketch of the relative force (as measured by their deflections) between the oppositely charged pieces of tape as a function of their separation.
3. Are your observations from all the previous experiments consistent with Coulomb's Law and conservation of charge? How so?

Amixture of slurry and mud is to be pumped through a horizontal pipe of diameter 500 mm. the fluid behaves as a bingham plastic with a yield stress of 30 pa and viscosity 0.04 pa.s. describe the effects of the shear stress through a transverse section of the pipe by plotting the variation in shear stress and velocity profile: (i) just before the slurry starts to move (ii) as the slurry flows when the pressure gradient is double that in part (i)
