A hydraulic pump has a theoretical volumetric flow rate of 50 GPM and operates at 1000 RPM. The actual driving torque provided by the electric motor running the pump is 500 lb-ft. The volumetric efficiency of the pump is 93% and the mechanical efficiency of the pump is 88%. a) Calculate the displacement D of the pump in in3 /rev.
b) Calculate the actual volumetric flow rate of the pump in GPM.
c) Calculate the actual power delivered to the pump, the actual power delivered by the pump (both in hp), and the outlet pressure of the pump in psi.
d) Calculate the theoretical torque in lb-ft.
