You are assigned a task to design the Composite wall of a Curing Oven two layers of bricks and one ofinsulation (as shown in the figure). Heating is accomplished by an electric heater. Inside the oven there is a fanto homogenize the temperature ( T = X °C, h = 50 W/m2°C). Lab environmental condition are (T = 25 °C, h =(X/20) W/m2°C).(a) Calculate thickness of insulation (k = 0.015 W/m°C) to reduce heat transfer up to (100/2.5)%.(b) Calculate the temperature on the outer surface of the oven.(c) Calculate heat transfer from brick-1.(d) If it is assumed that the same heat transfer from all six sides, calculate the cost of electricity for threehour. (use 30 Rs/kw-h))

At steady state, air at 200 kpa, 325 k, and mass flow rate of 0.5 kg/s enters an insulated duct having differing inlet and exit cross-sectional areas. the inlet cross-sectional area is 6 cm2. at the duct exit, the pressure of the air is 100 kpa and the velocity is 250 m/s. neglecting potential energy effects and modeling air as an 1.008 kj/kg k, determine ideal gas with constant cp = (a) the velocity of the air at the inlet, in m/s. (b) the temperature of the air at the exit, in k. (c) the exit cross-sectional area, in cm2
