After receiving Notice to Proceed (assume a duration of zero), the Pipe Pro project engineers will begin processing submittals for the materials to the engineers. The submittals activity should take approximately 6 days, which will give adequate time for them to be returned from the engineering team. Right after the submittals are returned, the team will take a day to order material. For the bedding material, delivery will take 5 days. For the pipe, delivery will take 14 days. Also following NTP, mobilization can start and should take approximately 4 days. After mobilization is complete, excavation of the trench can begin and will take 5 days. Following excavation and bedding material delivery, the bedding material can be placed in the trench and this will take 3 days. Then the bedding material will be compacted and this will take 3 days. Once the trench is prepped with the bedding material, the pipe can begin being laid, after it has arrived on site. It will take approximately 9 days to complete the pipe laying activity. It will then take about 3 days for the trench to be backfilled. Next, the backfill material will be compacted and you should expect this to take 2 day. Site clean-up should take about 2 days. Lastly, the engineers will inspect the site. Anticipate the final inspections will take 2 days. Finally, the terminal activity will be demobilization and this will take at least 1 day. Based on the information regarding the activities’ relationships you must create a schedule for the construction of the storm water system. Use days as the duration unit for the schedule
a. Develop a list of necessary activities and their corresponding durations. Provide this list as an accompaniment for the provided table.
b. Create an Activity on the Node Network, based on the logical relationships of the activities. Include Start and Finish activities. Provide a diagram of this network with your memo.
c. For each activity, calculate the Early Start (ES), Late Start (LS), Early Finish (EF), and Late Finish (LF).
