One of the fundamental issues regarding the regulation of unmanned maritime systems is if they should be considered "ships," hence they would fall under the existing Admiralty and Maritime Laws for "manned" ships (maritime vessels). So what are the pros and cons of defining Unmanned Maritime Systems as ships?
