South african initiatives/campaigns or institutions that try to address gender inequality

I stated their own vision and mission since these statements are what these organizations aim and stand for.

COMMISSION FOR GENDER EQUALITY (CGE)
Established by the South African government with the role of leveraging state accountability on gender equality obligations and commitment. Powers and Functions of CGE are set out in Commission on Gender Equality Act, Act 39 of 1996 Section 11. 

Gender Unit of Southern African Development Community (SADC) 
VISION: "A region that recognizes, embraces and uplifts the fundamental importance of equal opportunities for all people regardless of their sex."

MISSION: "To eliminate all forms of discrimination against women and girls through gender mainstreaming and women’s empowerment in all SADC structures and institutions"

SONKE GENDER JUSTICE 
VISION : "a world in which men, women and children can enjoy equitable, healthy and happy relationships that contribute to the development of just and democratic societies."

WHAT THEY DO: "Sonke works across Africa to strengthen government, civil society and citizen capacity to promote gender equality, prevent domestic and sexual violence, and reduce the spread and impact of HIV and AIDS."
