Odysseus is patient, since he takes decades to go back home and doesn't give up. The more time his journey takes, the more patience he learns. The journey itself is proof of determination. He shows his strength by passing the test of Persephone with a bow and arrow and eventually killing the suitors. He is loyal to his men and overconfident, even, since he gave his name to the cyclops. He is also clever, since he came out with a plan to escape from the cyclops as well.  He was brave enough to confront a sorceress, also, who transformed his men in pigs.
