In Homer´s Odyssey, there is a famous passage in which, in order to escape from the Cyclops, Odysseus manages to bling the cyclops with a spear. As Odysseus and his men are getting away, he tells the Cyclops that it was him, Odysseus, who blinded him (Odysseus uses one of his pseudonyms, which, fascinatingly enough is, outis, in Greek, which translates as “nobody”).
