How would i create a thesis statement for a compare/contrast essay? i've created thesis statements for normal research papers and essays, but never for compare/contrast essays.

Cats are the nicest animals. They are cute, they like to cuddle, and they come when you call them. On the other hand, so are Dogs. Dogs are a very good competition because dogs are also cute. They are easy to train, and they like to cuddle.

In this essay, I will be comparing and contrasting dogs vs. cats. To start of, cats are blah blah blah so on so forth.

So what you want to do is name something that's really good about one character, but turn around and do it for another. What is one thing that is good about this character that the other doesn't have, but what is one thing that the other character has the the other doesn't?

each year on this day, i make it a point to listen to dr. martin luther king jr.’s great “i have a dream” speech. it’s electrifying every single time.
