Music. A word everyone knows and everyone has listened to ever since the womb. We grow up with music and let the sounds grow into our memories and gift us with nostalgia as adults. Since Music is such a broad subject, it will of course have its advantages and disadvantages.

Music helps us through difficult times. Calm music relaxs our body from the constant shaking caused by tests and quizzes. Upbeat music helps us explore our other possibilities and discover how free we can feel. When we are depressed, music can lift up our spirits and set us at a positive mindset. That is what we need to survive in this world.

Of course, there is always the shadows from even the brightest of sunlight. Music can set us into a depression, spiriling deeper and deeper into hole that you can't dig yourself out of. Music can be distracting and could tear you apart from the world you are apart of. Sometimes, even the volume of the music being played could hurt you mentally and especially physically. A large range of band members and DJS have been shown to have decreasing ability of hearing. Therefore causing them to have hearing aids earlier in life.

In my opinion, the good should always outweigh the bad. Although most do not admit it, music does alot for us. It brings people together and sways our hearts. Every positive thing has a negative lurking. We shouldn't ignore the negative, but instead, accept it and continue on the path of positive with the protection of caution.
