Start with what you will pick and if you do, you won't have to go any further. 3,4,5 are all ones that you could pick. If you do, they all have to be picked and if that is true, they must be the phrases that make the theme. All or none.

My own feeling is that you should not pick any of them, tempting as it may seem. Again it is something that you could do better if you had a few hundred words to work with. You don't. So you must choose 3 from the 4 that are left over.

That is not to say that those lines are poor poetry. They are very good figures  of speech.

Now we come to 6. There is a pronoun problem, or one that can confuse. What does the word "these" refer back to? It refers back to the 3 examples that I have chosen not to include. Having cleared that up, 7 should be included as one of your three. In other words, hands capable of grasping something is useful to have.

Picking 1 would be OK and picking 2 would be fine as well. The trouble is that 6 and 7 look like those two must be taken together.

in my opinion, anyone should be allowed to marry as long as it's not going against any laws. though i kind of contradict myself because i know that in some states and countries, gay marriage isn't legal yet- hopefully you get my point.
