as long as you have said the author's name prior to the quote such as in the signal phrase or topic sentence, the parentheses should only have the page number.

ex: after she bit the apple, author's name says, "quote" (25).

also, this may only apply if there is only one author. if there are multiple authors of the literary work, their name has to go in the parentheses.
