In "the day andy came home" why did amy get a malt

In "The day Andy came home" story, Amy got a chocolate malt from their parents to stop her from complaining about everything during the ride home, and she explains she offered the malt to her new baby brother Andy to introduce him to malts, even though her parents saw this action as her way of taking care of her new brother.

the answer is subjective. i personally agree with the first answer for this question.

if one isn't strictly talking about objects then the correct answer would be 'my eyes' since according to this riddle i am asleep and in order to answer/open the door i need to open my eyes first of all.
