Explain three different textual features that communicates or create meaning in informational texts.

Informational texts are a type of nonfiction text written with the intention of informing the reader about a specific topic. Or in other words, written with the purpose to deliver information. These Informational texts, which may be in many different formats such as encyclopedias, textbooks, journals, newspapers, websites as well as other online resources, use special text features to communicate or to allow the reader to easily find the key information and to understand the main topic.

Among the different textual features that communicate or create meaning in informational texts highlight (1) Headers; provided by the author over certain sections. (2) Bold type; in which the author will place important vocabulary and (3) Visual representation with captions; which can be pictures or even graphics that include tables, diagrams, graphs, and charts.
