Why are elements of literature important ? the most important thing about literature elements is that all the elements are essential in making an exciting narrative to the reader. the elements of literature are the setting, character, plot, and conflict. the importance of character as an element of literature is that a character is developed in the story by what they say and what they do. a well-molded character has multiple characteristics that create feelings in the reader thus making it attractive for the reader to continue reading rather than being bored. the setting in a story gives us information about when and where the story took place. it entails the description of the world or surrounding the author wants us to know which include: noises, sounds, feelings, and sights. generally, the plot is sequence activities and ideas that make up the story. the plot intrigues the reader into the characters' life us to understand the choices that make the character. lastly, conflict is essential in a narrative. battle in a tale drives the plot of a story. different types of conflict can be attractive to the reader. some of the readers may like stories where the battle is between the character and himself while other readers may enjoy conflict that pit one person against the other or the law. with grammar and wording
