they thought it was a chance for them to move to a new land with the money they would have to survive from their. To finally to be in peace from not being pushed and ticked out of other lands they have stayed in. But all of that would come out as a lie to them when the U.S did not pay as what they say they would and payed for less.

well they thought that the money could help them with their needs, they recieved money in giving their lands and for signing the treaty which they did not know what it was as they did not speak or understand english.
