Then, Scout began talking about his entailments, and the cordial relations both families have had in the past. This only made it more uncomfortable for Mr. Cunningham. He at first tried to ignore them, acting indifferent and looked away. But, in the end, he acknowledged her presence and then asked for everyone to leave.
