A story's theme is the author's main idea or message. It is usually about an issue or something in society. The theme of the movie "Fern Gully" is about deforestation and conservation. This theme is similar to the theme of the movie "Avatar". Other movies that have similar themes are "Freaky Friday" and "Brave". Both of the movies delve address the theme of understanding between mothers and daughters. These themes can also apply to the lives of many of their viewers.
