On chapters 4-7, in the book to kill a mockingbird, how did jem lose his pants? what did he find when he went back for them?

he lost them in the nieghbors yard when he was snooping around and got them stuck on the fence. when he went back for them he found them folded neatly.

c is the answer because first she would blush to make the reader wonder why which they find out in the next line.
