He’s the god of wine Dionysius but he was “exiled” to Camp Halfblood for bad behavior (if I recall correctly)

"Mr. D" is Dionysus, most commonly known as the God of Wine. He was placed as director in Camp Half-Blood as punishment by his father Zeus for chasing after an off-limits nymph, or to put it simply, for bad behavior. Correct me if I'm wrong!
