So in order for a person to effectively communicate instructions to a 5 year old it is important: first, keep language between their vocabulary range so they will understand. Use their creativity so instructions don´t become commands, but rather a form of game where the child plays the center role. Use gestures and activities that are meaningful to the child so he will understand perfectly what you are instructing. Keep instructions short, simple, and meaningful to the age of the child and remember to assign tasks that are age-appropriate.
