Bring the summer olympics to portland

who doesn’t love the thrill of watching young athletes compete at the olympics? my question is, why hasn’t anyone thought of bringing the summer olympics here to portland, oregon? we have all the elements needed, such as mild summer weather, plenty of hotel accommodations, and lots of top-quality sports venues. the mountainous scenery is unbeatable, too, and everyone knows, athletes perform better when they have inspiring surroundings. plus, a portland olympic games would be a tremendous boost to businesses, providing the jump-start we need for our local economy. just about every major city on the west coast has hosted an olympics (except seattle, but they had a world’s fair). if they can do it, so can we! let’s put our city’s name in for the next summer games.
