School/mass shooters, hitler, terrorists, etc. why do people commit atrocities? consider: i don't mean motive; i mean, how do people get to the point where their rage becomes the answer to their problems? how do people become evil? can these things be avoided? how?

maybe from tough childhoods? maybe they held in anger for a long time and they finally snapped? to me rage is a way to push your emotions away and just let everything out, so maybe thats what they're doing. i hope this helps for whatever you're doing :)
