I've read the book and I can say that Della is kind and shes loving also she cares a lot about Jim so she's caring as well. She has extremely long and beautiful and important to Jim. She is also thoughtful of others, here's an example: Della cut her hair and sold it $20 plus she already had $1.83 cents. She used the money from her "hair cut" to buy Jim a silver chain for his grandfathers watch. Which in his case was very important to him.
