One of the things they have in common is the way in which they are treated – the statue and Eliza - when Higgings treats Eliza as an object telling her she is a baggage that should sit down or they should throw through the window.  

Eliza did not have a mother, she just grew up without her presence, reason why she was continuously claiming she was a good girl, as the statue she did not have a feminine presence in life, in the statue`s case her mentor had been a man Pygmalion, who fell in love with her and afterwards he married the statue.

It is also possible to notice how Higgins treats his customers as objects more than human beings once he thinks that it is kind of impossible to shape the language of his clients, once he mentions that he must turn into a block of wood, as he had to shape himself according he molds customers too.
