Think of a playing card - no matter which way you turn it, it will look the same. what else could this statement stand for when lennie says it. keep in mind, lennie is simply just making an observation, however, we the readers should be able to pick up on more than just what is simply stated in the book. what is so symbolic about lennie mentioning that "both ends of the playing cards are the same."
