Explanation:

Imagery is used to create a description of something in a vivid manner.  This is what is used in Thayer's poem, as we can see from the description of "five thousand tongues", "ten thousand eyes".  

The simile is used when comparing one concept to another one. As we can see in the stanza, this technique isn't used there. Alliteration repeats words to create emphasis. There are no repetition words in that stanza.  There is also no onomatopoeia used here, which is a technique that utilizes sound effect to mimic what is being described.
