blank verse is often confused with free verse. free verse avoids traditional poetic forms such as rhyme schemes and conventional metres and can follow any pattern the poet wishes which means that the verses and lines can differ in length as the poet chooses. however blank verse like free verse is also unrhymed but each line in blank verse has roughly the same number of stresses and syllables, usually following the iambic pentameter

ladies and gentlemen, this message that you will hear is to my family:

dear family, you so much for giving me a possibility to live and i am happy that you took care of me and always telling me that i can do everything that i have in mind, you trusted me and still do it, i don't think i need to ask you for more, i love you.
