Introduction:

Speed limits are imposed by the government in order to regulate the speed of drivers and decrease accidents. While many people support them, many other dislike them. I believe speed limits are important in order to keep our streets safe.

Body:

Speed limits have some problems. They reduce the freedom of drivers to drive any way they want. They can also be difficult to remember, which results in many fines. However, I believe the benefits are more important. Speed limits maintain order in our roads. They also help us protect vulnerable areas such as schools.

Conclusion

Because the things we gain from speed limits (safety) are more vital to us than those we lose (the freedom to drive any way we want), it is a good idea to continue to impose speed limits.
