Write a four paragraph explanatory essay in which you analyze the way that two of the
authors we have read about during this unit use a different type of conflict and what this
conflict reveals about the main characters in each of the stories. be sure to connect the
development of the conflict to the description of the character. be sure to:
• use direct textual evidence from two stories
• discuss the author's use of internal or external conflict
connect the conflict to the character's traits
use 2 conjunctions, 2 transitions and 4 vocabulary words from the stories
• have a strong introduction and a good conclusion
