In the following passage, a boy named alistair has joined a group of strangers whom he met
while traveling. select the best evidence to support the statement that alistair is not
particularly brave for his age.
if the men had intended to harm him, then they could have done it already. alistair
wasn't as strong or as fearsome as a bull. even for a twelve-year-old boy-which is
what he was, after all-he was considered timid.
at the edge of the forest, the group passed by an enormous blackened tree stump.
it was even thicker than the sequoias alistair had seen during a family trip out
west, and though he wanted to examine it closer, the tall man advised against it.

"and these i address to all females that would be married, or are already so; not that i suppose their sex more faulty than the other, and most to want advice, for i assure [women], upon my honour, i believe the quite contrary; but the reason is, because i esteem them better disposed to receive and practice it, and therefore am willing to begin, where i may promise myself the best success." this statement from franklin's "rules and maxims for promoting matrimonial happiness" best demonstrates his use of criticism to argue his point his use of common sense to appeal to women his use of flattery to gain women's attention his use of facts to prove his point

Marvell's poem is in fact an argument consisting of three logically related points. in at least 150 words, identify each point and trace the speaker's argument from proposition to conclusion. you may find it to identify the transitional word or phrase that marks the beginning of each part of the argument. support your analysis of the argument with details from the poem.
