"jabberwocky" is a nonsense poem. it is essentially meaningless, and many of the words in the poem are made up. however, by taking away the actual meaning of the words, a reader can focus on the musicality and sound of those words. write your own nonsense poem. write ten lines using made-up words about a nonsensical subject. as you are writing, focus on the sounds that your made-up words have, and how they affect the feeling of the poem. your poem does not necessarily need to rhyme, but should have a sense of rhythm.
