Explanation: Discipline has to do with instilling the type of character and behavior you desire to a child or individual. Discipline prevents a child from having wayward character. Punishment on the other hand instills a penalty for a child’s offense. It's about making a child "pay" for his mistakes. Punishment also comes as a result of frustration from continuous misbehavior. Sometimes, the desire to inflict punishment stems from a parent’s feelings of frustration.
