"Since you came here as a volunteer,” said Brenda, "poachers have stolen a lot of eggs. Whenever the camp finds a nest, poachers seem to find it, too. That isn’t going to happen anymore. You won’t go to jail, unfortunately. To get enough evidence for a trial, we would have to let the poachers take some eggs. You aren’t worth that, so you’ll just go on a blacklist. Your volunteer days are over.”
