I NEED HELP WITH 6 AND 7 Assignment: Water is an all-important resource for human and other life. You will choose TWO bodies of
Sater that are currently facing a potential water crisis. You will investigate the causes and implications of this
problem by visiting various websites. You should be able to analyze the interrelationships between physical
systems (such as rivers or lakes) and human settlements and activities. Assignment MUST be hand-written to
fit each body of water on one side of an 8.5 x 11 piece of copy paper.
You must answer the following 7 questions. Your written responses should be thorough and well

Geographic Information:
1. Provide a summary of your water's location, size, history, etc. Draw a map of its location and include
any topographical characteristics of the area.
2. Describe the impact of your body of water on nearby people and cultures.
Health of System:
3. Research and analyze the current and future ecologic and geographic health of your aquatic system.
How have humans impacted the system?
4. If applicable, discuss how dams, diversions, and irrigation systems have affected the natural flow of the
ecosystem of which your body of water is a part. How is/are the dam(s) beneficial? Controversial?
Political Significance:
5. Describe the role your body of water plays in political battles between countries or states that share the
resource. What groups of people are affected? Which are not?
Management Solutions:
6. Present different viewpoints for managing the assigned water system. Suggest what might be done to
protect and preserve the water quality and the quality of life for people living beside or in close
proximity to your body of water.
7. What does the future hold for your body of water?
