Read this paragraph and graphic from an informational text called “Overfishing the Oceans.” Then answer the question.

Overfishing is a serious threat that faces the health of our world’s oceans. Overfishing occurs when people catch most of the fish in a certain area or of a certain species. The demand for fish has risen sharply in recent years, and new technologies have been developed that allow people to catch more fish at once. This has resulted in a crash of many fish populations. Some species have decreased as much as 95%.

What can you learn by integrating the information from the paragraph and the graphic?

A. That the ocean is in danger.

B. That the rise of fish farms will protect the ocean’s wild fish.

C. That fish populations have declined so sharply that no fish can be caught in the wild in 2010.

D. That the demand for seafood has led to people catching more than double the amount of fish in 2010 than 1950.
